August 2017, in Hargeisa Somaliland, to kick off the research for the project The Anarchist Citizenship. This art project traces the concept of citizenship and how Somalis are shaping their identities through visual culture, architecture, politics, stories and everyday life in Hargeisa. The Anarchist Citizenship is a collabo between Amal Alhaag & me and fellow Somali artists, writers, thinkers.

Ones to Watch; British Journal Of Photography selected my work for their annual survey of global talent.
They asked over 80 photography experts from around the globe to nominate emerging photographers; over 300 were recommended and 25 are picked out by BJP.
