Samsam and friends are unlike any other women you have met before or you’ll ever meet. They got stories for days and redefine what it means to be a Somali boss lady. Sam Sam is a singer, taxi driver, mother, hustler, dreamer and a survivor. Together with singers and friends Khadra and Sahro she drove us to their favorite parts of town and sang and performed a proper Buranbuur at Adam’s Inn. Buranbuur is the poetic praise and dance tradition that is usually composed and performed by women.
